Our rooms have been planned with appropriate levels of challenge to encourage children to explore, investigate, experiment and take appropriate risks in their learning
We aim to position children in different groups according to their age, while keeping in mind their individual stage of development. This enables us to cater to your child’s unique needs. Staff members guide the children to ensure a balanced approach to learning activities.
Our rooms for Children aged 6 weeks to 6 years encourage exploration, investigation and experimentation.
Our Groups are determined each year based on the needs of current groups of enrolments.

Baby Conifers – 8 babies 0 to 2 (1 Lead Educator & 2 Assistant Educators)
Baby Bunyas – 8 babies 0 to 2 (1 Lead Educator & 2 Assistant Educators)
Poincianas – 12 toddlers 16 months to 2 (1 Lead Educator & 3 Assistant Educators)
Grevilleas – 12 toddlers 16 months to 2 (1 Lead Educator & 3 Assistant Educators)
Myrtles & Casuarinas
Myrtles – 15 children 2-3 years old (1 Lead Educator & 3 Assistant Educators)
Casuarinas – 15 children 2 to 3 years (1 Lead Educator & 3 Assistant Educators)
Banyans (Junior Kindy), Melaleucas, Eucalypts
Banyans (Junior Kindy)
– 24 children 2.5 to 3.5 years
(1 Lead Educator & 2 Assistant Educators)
Melaleucas (3 to 5’s including QKFS Kindergarten) – 26 children 3 to 5 years
(1 ECT – Early Childhood Teacher & 2 Assistant Educators)
Eucalypts (Kindergarten / Pre-prep including QKFS) -26 children 3.5 to 5 years
(1 ECT – Early Childhood Teacher & 2 Assistant Educators)
* Child age is at the beginning of the year being January. These numbers represent our Centre at full capacity of 146 children per day. In order to offer a best practice service, our staff to child ratios include additional numbers of staff to the recommended levels. When required these additional staff may be utilised in other parts of the Centre.
